Tactile Systems Technology developed the Flexitouch system for the in-home treatment of lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency, and non-healing wounds. Introduced in 2003, the Flexitouch technology is unique in the market and is clinically proven to positively impact people's quality of life.

Tactile Systems was founded by a woman trained as a lymphedema therapist. Our product, the Flexitouch? system, received FDA approval in 2004 and the majority of our funding has come from local individuals (angel investors). In 2007, we were recognized by the Lymphatic research Foundation as their Corporation of the Year for the invention and commercialization of our Flexitouch system. For the past two years we were selected as the second and fifth fastest growing private companies in Minnesota by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. In 2009 we were selected by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States, ranked 389.
