Tactile Systems Technology® developed the Flexitouch® system for the in-home treatment of lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency, and non-healing wounds. Introduced in 2003, the Flexitouch technology is unique in the market and is clinically proven to positively impact people's quality of life. The Company has served over 11,000 patients with the Flexitouch system.

Tactile Systems was founded by a woman trained as a lymphedema therapist. Our product, the Flexitouch® system, received FDA approval in 2004 and the majority of our funding has come from local individuals (angel investors). In 2007, we were recognized by the Lymphatic research Foundation as their Corporation of the Year for the invention and commercialization of our Flexitouch system. For each of the past three years we were selected in the top ten fastest growing private companies in Minnesota by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. In 2009 we were selected by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States, ranked 389. We were ranked ninth in the small employer group for 2010 Top Workplaces.
