Ideal Printers provides on-line, printing and mailing services for clients as small as a delicatessen that orders menus once a year to the likes of Great Clips and Time Inc.who print millions of press sheets a year. Ideal will create an on-line storefront for it's clients, seamlessly take the orders from their clients, print them digitally or conventionally and then deliver or mail the product. We have 1-6 color conventional presses, 3 digital presses as well as a complete offering of bindery options and fulfillment services. Ideal is WBE, G7 and FSC certified.

Howard Siewert founded Ideal Printers in 1979, he went from selling to accounts like P & G and Bon Appetit Magazine to selling order receipts to the local chinese restaurant down the street. The company was housed in a former mortuary with a dirt floor in the camera department which was in the basement. We are now located in a beautiful building with lunchroom windows that look out onto Downtown St. Paul. Howard and Rhoda (she would make cakes for each employee's birthday until we got to be 40 employees strong) operated the co. until 2002, now his daughters and son-in-laws manage the company. Two years ago when everyone took 10% paycuts, not one employee complained, on the contrary, some came and acknowleged how hard that must have been for us and even thanked us for choosing that route rather than to lay off employees. Pay has since been restored. While frequently approached to sell the company, generation #2 fully expect to give their children the same opportunity they had, to have the best job ever.
